M Bar C Construction was formed to serve the increasing demands of commercial, government and industrial customers.
The company has been installing carports since 1975 and solar structures since 1997. M Bar C Construction installs 30-40 Megawatts of solar canopies every year. Our expertise and experience is a direct reflection of the passionate commitment to quality and performance our customers demand.
President and CEO
Jason fulfills the leadership role with more than 18 years of experience in the construction industry. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and California Contractors License, he founded M Bar C Construction in 2005. While serving as President, his dedication to the success of the company garnered the 2013 California Small Businessman of the Year Award.
Vice President of Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Megan is responsible for both daily and strategic functions for the finance, technology, compliance, employees & culture departments. She has been with M Bar C since 2004, after obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M. She is currently obtaining her MBA, and thrives in finding efficient processes for building a solid future.
Megan enjoys traveling when her schedule allows, preferable to places with an abundance of hard cheese and wine. She is active in local animal rescues, and coordinates community involvement events for M Bar C, including Annual Holiday food drives, Walk MS, and supports our relationship with Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation.
Vice President of Business Development
With over 15 years of experience in construction operations, estimating and sales, Erik brings high-level knowledge and a unique dynamic to customer service. Erik has a BA in Business Administration from Washington State University. He is responsible for leading and supporting the Sales and Marketing team, project value engineering, risk assessment and client development.
When Erik is not hard at work, he and his wife Amber are raising four active children. Erik enjoys an active life spent at the beach, river, or traveling with his family. He is committed to his personal health and wellness, and spends any extra valuable minutes training at the gym. He also supports his alma mater with every fiber of his being. Go Cougs!
Vice President of Operations
Mike is primarily responsible for field operations including project design support, project engineering and project management. Integrating all departments in support of field operations is a critical function of his position. Mike has 38 years of total construction experience including 16 years at the executive management level.
Director of Program Strategy & Development
Andreas is primarily responsible for development and definition of product and processes as it relates to the project life cycle and delivery. Andreas is a licensed civil engineer and has over 10 years of PV experience, totaling over 500 MW, of design, procurement and construction of projects and product development of carports.
Born and raised in Sweden, he fell in love with San Diego shortly after graduate school. When not working, Andreas enjoys chasing his son and dogs, preferably on the beach, cooking with a glass of red wine and working out.
Director Sales and Marketing
Neil has over 20 years of sales, management, and marketing experience. He’s been involved in the construction industry the past 13 years, providing service to various construction trades. At M Bar C Construction, he sources and services new project opportunities and develops excellent customer relationships to support the company’s mission of delivering spectacular service and quality.
Neil is a first generation American (parents are from England). Born and raised in Orange County, he enjoys being outdoors year round. When not at work Neil enjoys spending time off with his wife Katrina of 20 years, beach camping, boating, wake surfing, sky skiing, International travel and golfing.
Director of Preconstruction
Bobby brings a variety of knowledge and experience to the estimating department, with over 10 years of project management, estimating, and engineering design experience. With his previous role as project manager within M Bar C Construction, Bobby will bring a field installation perspective to the estimating department that will help perform direct cost analysis and produce input for value engineering.
Bobby enjoys spending time with his kids when he is not working. They love all outdoor activities, from spending time on the beach, to snowboarding in the mountains.
Director of Renewable Energy
Ken has been entrenched in the Renewables industry for over 10 years and has a strong background in project development and construction management. Ken has over 20 years in the construction industry and has managed and developed over $100 Million in construction projects and over 15 MW of installed solar. Ken’s experience is now being utilized as Director of M Bar C’s Renewables Division. With support from the Structural and Electrical divisions he oversees development, design, permitting and completion of renewable EPC projects for our Commercial, Federal, and Municipal clients. Ken holds a California Electrical Contracting license (C-10) and is currently in process of continuing his formal education in addition to obtaining a B license.
Kens passion for renewables is fueled by his dedication to preserving resources and love for the outdoors. He splits his free time between the mountains and the Pacific. When not with friends and family, Ken spends the winter snowboarding and the summer offshore fishing and diving.
Director of Electrical Services
Sean brings over 20 years of experience to M Bar C’s new Electrical division and is excited to bring his knowledge and ambition for the trade to help grow the M Bar C family. He has worked in virtually every aspect of the electrical trade for some of the top electrical contractors in the nation as well as being a licensed electrical contractor for the state of California.
A lifetime North County San Diego resident, he loves to spend time at the beach or traveling with his wife, 2 children and dog.
Director of Safety and Quality Control
Mike has 30 years of experience helping MbarC grow from the owner’s garage to where it is today. Mike has helped develop many new products and procedures throughout the years, after being asked to be foreman at the age of 21. As Mbarc has continued to grow each year, Mike was the first Superintendent for the company in 2008. In subsequent years growth led to him becoming the General Superintendent. Mike is now our Director of Safety and Quality.
Mike has 2 kids and has also been married over 25 years, and is looking forward to many more. Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids (son and daughter). Camping and offroading. He also enjoys watching his daughters water polo games.
Scott is the General Superintendent at M Bar C. Scott proudly served our country in the US Marines for 7 years. He has been with us for over 15 years and has gained valuable experience building our structures and overcoming many design changes and site challenges. Scott has worked his way up through the company working in the past positions of field laborer, jobsite foreman and Superintendent and now our General Superintendent. Scott has overseen many of our projects and brings his leadership skills to oversee all of our construction crews (Superintendents, Foremen and Field Laborers). Originally from Ohio, he decided to call Southern California his home and has been with M Ba rC for the past 13 years. Scott has 4 kids, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Scott is an avid Steelers fan.
Shade Structures Sales
Greg joined M Bar C as Sales Representative for our new line of DSA-approved Smart Canopies. He is well known in the California School Construction market and has 15 years of experience designing, marketing, and selling PC-approved Lunch Shelters, Shade Structures, and Walkways. Forty years in the construction industry innovation and providing customers with value and quality make Greg a great fit for the M Bar C Team.
Greg and his family live in Reno, NV. He enjoys traveling with his family and hunting with his dog.
Mike has over 40 years of construction and architectural fabric structures sales, design, and project management experience. He is a graduate of The University of Texas, Austin, with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Architectural Engineering. Mike will work with clients from conception to completion to insure total customer satisfaction.
Barbara is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily accounting operations and financial reporting. Having begun her career in public accounting, she holds an active CPA license and has over 10 years’ experience in construction financial accounting and reporting.
Outside of work, Barbara enjoys outdoors activities such as camping and hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.
